The new Seabourn Encore is set to begin sailing in late 2016, continuing to build on Seabourn’s reputation for quality service and style. With the 3 current Odyssey-class ships, Seabourn Odyssey, Sojourn and Quest, the bar for Luxury Cruising has been set high. Seabourn Encore along with Seabourn Ovation, which is expected to debut in 2018, will be slightly larger ships than the existing 450 guest capacity of the existing Odyssey-class ships. Carrying just 604 guests these 2 new ships will still maintain the high ratio of staff and space per guest. Following the departure of the 3 smaller Seabourn Ships, Pride Spirit & Legend to Windstar Cruises, Seabourn will have one of the youngest and most modern ultra-luxury fleet in the cruise industry and we look forward to sailing on these new ships.
Seabourn President Richard Meadows said “Seabourn Encore will set a new standard of ultra-luxury cruising that can only be found on Seabourn, and we can’t wait to share her with our guests.”
To begin, Seabourn Encore will sail a variety of voyages exploring the exotic coasts of Arabia and India between December 2016 and April 2017. Appropriately, the new ship will visit the gilded temples and tropical isles of Southeast Asia, along with the natural splendours and vibrant, friendly cities of Australia and New Zealand.
Designed by hospitality design icon Adam D. Tihany, Seabourn Encore will feature modern design elements and innovations consistent with the line’s reputation for understated elegance. The 40,350-GRT ship will be configured with one additional deck and new expanded public areas, and is expected to carry just 604 guests, based on double occupancy. In addition, every suite will feature a private veranda.
