Eagle Creek Packing System Review

eagle Creek Packing Cubes

Introduction

Packing is one of those tasks you either love and hate. For us, we love it as it has a direct relationship with an upcoming travel adventure or even better – a cruise. Over the years we have developed a technique for packing and it works like this – Anita does hers and I do mine.  Seriously, we have a system that works using the Eagle Creek Pack It System which came highly recommended by one of our dearest friends

Eagle Creek’s packing cubes and folders are a godsend and we only wish we had discovered them earlier.

Eagle Creek Review – Packing Cubes

We own three packing cubes in various colors which we bought when and a Seabourn cruise across the Pacific Ocean from LA to Sydney. Since then they have been with us on every trip we have made.

These cubes have a variety of uses and most people develop their own ‘modus operandi’ depending on how they travel.  They are grate for keeping loose item together or certain items of clothing in one cube. e.g. a cube for gadgets and cables, another for underwear and socks and one for t-shirts or similar.

When we are moving between places, e.g. when driving around a country, staying couple of nights in each place, then we often use them to avoid unpacking the whole bag.

The great thing about using different coloured cubes is that they are easy to find in your packing and so alleviate the need to unpack everything.

We also use our cubes for storage of various clothing items when at home.  They fit nicely into drawers and cupboards make storing items like underwear and socks a dream.

We love our Eagle Creek packing cubes and have made the onerous task of packing much easier. Our experience is that they are a quality item, not cheap and cheerful like some other products – and they still look like new despite frequent use.

Eagle Creek Review – Packing Folders

Packing folders help to keep shirts, trousers, sweaters and jackets flat and as free of wrinkles as possible.

I have a couple of these and use them all the time as they allow me to travel the world and have a supply of crease and wrinle free shirts and tops.  Shirts really smart as if they have just been bought from a shop.

The folding instruction board which is part of the folder is very useful, making it easy to pack the shirts to minimize creases.

Those that travel mainly with casual wear may find less use for the packing folders than the packing cubes. Howerver Packing Folders are great for business travelers and those traveling with more formal wear, e.g. when going on a romantic city break or on a cruise.  I usually take 2 Packing Folders and use one for long sleeved shirts and the other for short sleeved shirts and polo shirts.  Wherever I travel they always arrive in perfect condition.
